MEP Running Satsanga Recap

A little over a week ago the @mindfulenduranceprogram Running Satsanga came to a completion with the @mountains2beachmarathon Half-marathon. As a group of runners, it was a great success; we all hit our goals, everyone PR'd (@strava era) and we had 5 runners go sub-1:30 and finished as the 1st place team. As a group of human Beings, there is less objective data, so I can really only speak from my experience, but it felt like an even bigger success. The openness within the group to show up, to be vulnerable, to try some experimental exercises and techniques, and to be challenged was deeply inspiring. I feel forever connected to each person in the group and am very grateful for the opportunity and trust to be part of this program.
Adidas EVO SL Review
By Will Porter

I want to be faster. You want to be faster. Everyone who runs wants to be faster, whether they admit it or not.
The hard truth is this: most of us won’t ever be that fast. We can, however, feel fast. And in 2025, if you want to feel fast, you wear the Adidas Adizero EVO SL.
Record-setting efforts are made on the track, on the tarmac, or on the sidewalk, not when you’re lacing up your shoes. But whether you like it or not, your running shoes can make a big difference. They have to be comfortable, they have to fit well, and they have to inspire confidence. The Adizero EVO SL checks all of these boxes with ease.
When I first put the shoes on I noticed how good they felt to lace up. The barely-there, light-as-a-feather upper cradled my foot, there were no immediate tight spots, and the shoes were easy to lace up without pinching anything. Actually, the first time I wore them, I left them too loose, expecting discomfort across the instep and forefoot, but there wasn’t any discomfort to be found.
After running my first few miles with the EVO SL barely strapped onto my feet I realized that tightening them down to a comfortable level wasn’t going to make my feet go numb, so I strapped ‘em down and started putting in work. When I picked up the pace, the EVO SL really started to show its worth.
The LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole foam is more firm than a squishy, pillow-like long distance shoe, but it offers stability that you won’t find from a carbon-plated super shoe — you can actually walk in the EVO SL without feeling like you’re wobbling from side to side. The midsole provides much-needed feedback and energy return with every step, all without feeling like an absolute brick when the pace slows down a bit. The EVO SL is a carbon-plated shoe without the restrictions of an actual carbon plate — anyone could wear these, no matter what their mile time is, and they’d be able to feel the pace without being hindered by a stiff carbon plate forcing the issue.
This Goldilocks combination of support and squish leads to a level of confidence during tempo runs that I’ve never felt before. The super-shoe-sans-carbon-plate genre of running shoe continues to grow and continues to impress — let's call it the super trainer revolution. And after months of testing and a nine-minute half-marathon PR, I can say that the Adidas Adizero EVO SL is leading the way. ( Link )
The Paradox of Perfection
A contemplation on integrating our true nature, our divine essence, our perfection, with our humanity, our imperfect, flawed self. This illusion of separation is created in childhood and conditioned by our culture, but the merging of these two polarities is our challenge and journey as human Beings in this lifetime.
